On December 16th, the CD set of "Complete Works of Yu Long's German Phonograph Recording Works" produced by Deutsche Grammophon (DG), a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, was officially released in mainland China. The six albums included in it were co recorded by Yu Long and DG over a period of 25 years. This is the first time DG has released a complete set of works CD box for Chinese conductors. DG hopes to publish a comprehensive tour of Yu Long's conducting art in the form of a collection set.

At the beginning of the millennium, Yu Long, as one of the most outstanding young conductors in China at that time, participated in the establishment of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and served as its artistic director and chief conductor after the orchestra was founded. Deutsche Grammophon, founded in 1898, is one of the oldest record companies in the world and a globally renowned classical music label. The albums "Yellow River Cantata" and "Carmen" co produced by DG and the China Philharmonic Orchestra have become favorites among music collectors. These records showcase the unique style of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the recording level of DG Music Distribution Company.

Yu Long, with his foresight, profound insight, and serious artistic attitude, laid the direction and foundation for the future development plan of the Chinese Philharmonic Orchestra in the content design of these two albums. The China Philharmonic Orchestra and DG collaborate more in music performances. In 2000, the China Philharmonic Orchestra collaborated with DG to launch its first European tour, covering multiple countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. The performance schedule includes world-renowned works such as the Fifth Symphony, as well as the representative Chinese classical music work "March of the Volunteers" composed by the famous composer Nie Er.
In June 2018, Yu Long, as the music director of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, officially joined the DG "Big Yellow Label" family and became the first Chinese conductor to sign a contract under the group. Yu Long once said at the time, "Joining the DG family and leveraging its high-quality global distribution channels will allow China's voice to spread further and be more recognizable.

The publication of this set not only records great music recordings, but also celebrates the important 60th anniversary of Master Yu Long. In addition to releasing the CD set, Xu Yi, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group Greater China, said, "With this respect, we look forward to both parties bringing more exciting works to the world music stage in their future artistic journey, and congratulate Master Yu Long on embarking on a new journey at the important milestone of his 60 year old life and art.
