Unlock Your Sonic Palette: The Complete Guide To Sound Design And Tone Exploration On Digital Pianos And Electronic Keyboards

Following the launch of the software emulation of its own electric piano, Rhodes immediately set out to recreate another iconic instrument via the "Wurlitzer by Rhodes" project. Now the company has turned its focus to a rare 1977 Hohner Clavinet D6, faithfully capturing its sharp attack, expressive response and rhythmic tonal character - the very qualities that defined the sound of countless funk, soul, disco and rock records.

Built on the same powerful engine as the Rhodes Anthology plugin, Rhodes Clav Pro perfectly marries authentic vintage tonality with the flexibility of modern virtual instruments. The Timbre Shift function lets players seamlessly toggle between pristine studio tones and gritty road-worn timbres, exploring a rich range of sonic personalities drawn from different eras and conditions of vintage instruments. Beyond meticulously modelling the amplifier characteristics of the original hardware, the company provides multiple microphone signal options, adjustable cabinet resonance, realistic key noise simulation and an integrated Rhodes FX suite.

Players can fine-tune their sound with dedicated Drive, Compression and Envelope/Wah controls, moving effortlessly between tight rhythmic stabs, mellow funk grooves and expressive lead tones - all while remaining true to the unmistakable, one-of-a-kind character of the original instrument. Rhodes has also pushed beyond the limits of the physical instrument by adding sustain pedal support and pitch bend functionality.

"The goal with Clav Pro was never just to authentically recreate a vintage Clavinet - it was to capture the essence and soul that made players fall in love with this instrument in the first place.
