Learning piano must be different from person to person, according to the teaching materials, from shallow to deep, step by step, there is absolutely no shortcut to speak of. Combined with the actual situation in China, the piano teaching materials for each stage are as follows:
1. Beginner's stage: you can use Bayer's "Basic Piano Course" (Op. 101), Thompson's "Modern Piano Course" Book 1, Han Linshen and other editors of the "Piano Fundamentals Course" Book 1 (absorbing the famous Chinese and foreign practice pieces and music) to start; then you can study Czerny's "Easy Piano Exercises" (Op. 139), "Preliminary Piano Course" (Op. 599), "Piano Smooth Exercises" (Op. 599), "Piano Smooth Exercises" (Op. 599), "Piano Smooth Exercises" (Op. 599), "Piano Smooth Exercises" (Op. 599) and "Piano Smooth Exercises" (Op. 599). Piano fluent exercises" (Op. 849), Han Linshen and other editors of the "basic piano program" Book II, Burgmüller's "Piano Advanced 25" (Op. 100), Bach's "Preliminary Piano Pieces", "Prelude and Fugue", and the "Sonatas" and other teaching materials.

2. Intermediate stage: use more of Han Lin Shen and other editors of the "Basic Piano Course", the third and fourth book, Czerny's "Piano Quick Exercises" (Op. 299), "Piano Exercises 50" (Op. 740), Cramer's "Piano 60 Exercises", Grieg's "Piano Lyrical Pieces", Mendelssohn's "Songs without Words", Tchaikovsky's "Four Seasons", Chopin's "Nocturne", etc.; in addition, you can also choose the "Preliminary Piano Pieces", "Small Preludes and Fugues" and "Small Sonata Collection", and so on. In addition, you can also choose some of Bach's piano polyphony works, such as two, three, four creative by, "French Suite", "twelve equal-tempered piano music collection" and so on as teaching materials.

It should also be emphasized here that one of the most important issues in learning the piano is relaxation, and stiffness, tension or unnaturalness should be absolutely avoided. The student should have a stretched and loose posture before learning the technique. The only way to gain accuracy and independence of the fingers is to play the scales with strong accents, and this repeated practice will give each finger absolute control.

Learning can not be satisfied with "according to the score to play the right" level of knowledge of the score visual performance, to clarify and truly understand the content of the work and musical image, adapt to the work of the tonality, beat, musical expression and intensity of the change, of course, pay more attention to the music of the sentence teasing (some piano teachers called "breathing"), paragraph, paragraph, and so on. Of course, it is also necessary to pay attention to the musical phrases (some piano teachers call it "breathing"), the embodiment of the passage, so as to correctly interpret and express the work. Therefore, people who study piano, in addition to familiarizing themselves with the work, experience the image and practice every day, but also pay attention to the appropriate reading of some novels, poems, classics and art literature; often go to listen to concerts, watch cultural performances and artistic movies and television; but also to strive for the opportunity to participate in the accompaniment, four-handed, solo, and other amateur cultural performances. Because, this can help oneself cultivate the mood for creative thinking, acquire the appropriate performance skills, improve my performance level; and can also broaden the artistic horizons, help to enrich the musical ideas and musical art interest, help to correctly and profoundly interpret and express their own performance of the work.
At present, the more popular children's teaching materials can be roughly divided into three types of pentatonic introduction, namely, the treble clef introduction, the central c introduction, and the polyphonic introduction. The traditional introductory textbook "Bayer's Basic Piano Course" uses the treble clef method, and "Thompson's Easy Piano Course" Books 1-5, which is widely used in China, uses the central c method.

Li Feilan, Dong Gangrui's "Piano Tutorial for Young Children" adopts the central c-based introductory method, breaking through the limitations of the previous range of such materials, starting from the 3-finger learning weight drop and gradually expanding to the rest of the various fingers of the method has been recognized as the best method.

Von der Weide: The Taumegger Ruth series. This series for young children pays more attention to arousing the interest of young children and cultivating a good sense of music in them from an early age.

Kodály: The Piano School, Book I.

Bartok: The Little Universe. This is a very important introductory textbook. Because its five-finger positions include a variety of five-finger arrangements for non-major or minor structures, it helps the student to have early exposure to the black keys and a variety of modes, and contains many polyphonic imitative level counterpoint elements.

Ziegler: The Piano Textbook, Book I. The book is characterized by listening before playing, with the ear leading the way.

Schongler: The Piano Classroom, Book I.

Dibe Ali: The easier of the Twenty-Eight Joint Exercises, the earlier the student is allowed to work on the four joint exercises, the more conducive it is to developing the habit of using the ear to hear and recognize the voices and their interplay with each other.
