Centered on the core theme of "First-launch Economy Drives Upgrading", the 2025 Shanghai International Musical Instrument Exhibition set a historic record with 127 new product submissions, among which international brands accounted for nearly one-third, making it a "vanguard" of global musical instrument innovation. The exhibition pioneered a dual-track evaluation mechanism featuring "established enterprises + start-up brands", and the 53 award-winning works outlined the path of industrial transformation:
1. Dual Breakthroughs in "Craftsmanship + Function" for Traditional Musical Instruments
Modern Upgrade of Ethnic Musical Instruments: Shanghai National Musical Instrument No.1 Factory's Dunhuang Brand "Butterfly & Twin Flowers" Guzheng combines thousand-year-old lacquer craftsmanship with eggshell inlay. The lacquer surface presents a "starry river dappled" texture, turning the instrument into a "playable art collection". Yuehai Musical Instruments, in collaboration with universities, developed the Haiming Blue High-Pitched Pipa, adding 25-26 frets to expand its range upward by a perfect fourth, filling the gap in professional instruments for national orchestras.
Technological Empowerment of Classical Musical Instruments: KAWAI launched its new flagship hybrid pianos, the NV12 and NV6, equipped with real action and mechanical damper systems. Among them, the NV12, featuring a mini grand piano design paired with a speaker without a horn soundboard, won the Top New Product Award in the global industry. The entry-level ES60 portable piano weighs only 11 kilograms and costs less than 3,000 yuan, yet it is loaded with concert grand piano samples, redefining the standard for cost-effective student pianos.

2. Cross-border Integration of "Intelligence + Scenarios" for Modern Musical Instruments
Rise of Mobile Creation Terminals: The DONNER headless electric guitar by Guangzhou Lanshen Technology is built with a built-in intelligent chip and audio algorithm platform, integrating multiple effectors to achieve a mobile creation solution that "replaces an entire studio setup with one guitar". German brand Beyerdynamic's wireless headphones cross-integrate professional monitoring and daily use functions, blurring the boundary between musical instruments and consumer electronics.

Universal Adaptability of Wind Instruments: The LONGDI LD68 electronic wind instrument under KAWAI gained popularity for its lightweight design and high-fidelity sound source. It was also selected as the designated instrument for the unified textbooks of national senior universities. The on-site trial playing area remained packed throughout the exhibition, and "compact yet powerful" became the consensus among visitors.
